Structural Repairs to Quesnel River railway bridge

October 2009-February 2010

Quesnel, BC

Timber West was contracted to source materials and repair the bridge, which is the only rail link for resources coming into the mill or product leaving the mill. This bridge is on the spur line over the Quesnel River, servicing, and owned by Cariboo Pulp and Paper. A train derailment caused extensive damage to the west end portal and bracing, rendering the bridge unusable, crippling resource and product logistics. Repairs were done in less than a week.
